– The 26-year-old was heavily tackled by Strasbourg’s Moataz Zemzemi during their French Cup game earlier this month
– Neymar will however be on the sidelines for about 10 weeks, and will Man United’s UCL double header
Injured Paris Saint Germain superstar Neymar was pictured at Barcelona airport heading back to France after undergoing test on his foot.
The 26-year-old suffered a metatarsal injury in his right foot during PSG’s win over Strasbourg in the Coupe de France round of 16 match on 23 January.
He has since then been ruled out of his side’s crunch Champions League clash against Manchester United next month.
According to Daily Mail, the former Barcelona star was initially checked by Parisian’s medical team before flying him to Spain for further assessments.
The publication further reveals that a team of medical experts insisted that Neymar does not require surgery on the problem but will miss about next 10 weeks of action.
He transported to the airport in Barcelona in a black private taxi on Thursday afternoon and appeared to struggle to get out of the car.
His absence will come as a huge blow for the French giants who have some important fixtures coming up.
Neymar will not be available for PSG when they battle Man United on February 12 and the return leg on March 6.
He will also miss key league clashes against Lyon, St Etienne and Montpellier during the period of his recuperation.
