President Buhari arrives New Delhi India to attend the 3rd India-Africa Forum Summit. 27th Oct 2015. Is it worth doing ? I think so. India is very strategic and important for our economic survival today. Our economy today is heavily anchored on our sale and the price of crude oil. India today is one of our main if not the main buyer of our crude oil. Also, India today has a market and economy the world cannot neglect. Some of the world major countries are trying to take advantage of this fact and fine tune their relationship with this country. Not too long ago, the prime minister of England David Cameron paid a visit to India. All for economic reasons – “you buy our product and we buy your product” discussion. We can’t afford to loose out to other nations to buy the heart of the leaders of this nation. Apart from selling our oil to them, they have great companies worth billions of dollars that we can gain from if they come to invest in Nigeria. This may not happen or be sustained if there is not a good relationship between both countries. And relationship is build or sustain through communication and visiting friends. That is just what the president of Nigeria is doing.
